I haven't tried this on my 1050 remote, but I'm taking it from the manual for a 15-1994 (which I use in my bedroom for TV and digital cable box -- and eventually a DVD player).

Turning Punch-Through Off

1. Hold down P (the program button for the Outlaw) until the red light blinks twice.

2. Press 9 9 3

3. Press VOL +. The remote controls the volume through the currently selected device.
