Guys,

Received my sub a few weeks ago; and LOVE IT! Problem I am having is the auto sensing feature..... Basically; I have the switch set to middle; NOT on. Rechecked all my settings and still nothing? Could it be my receiver not passing a strong signal? (Onkyo 805. Am I missing something obvious? Please let me know and thxs in advance!

Have you calibrated the system? If so, what position of the sub's volume knob at? You may need to turn down the volume knob on the sub and turn up the trim on the receiver.

Hey Gonk!

Thxs for the reply; anyway I set everything up manually... I ran Audusey three times and just didn't like the way it sounded. (Using Onkyo 805). As for the volume on the sub... its basically set at 12 O'Clock. Auto Switch set to middle, cross-over set to bypass. I am beginning to think it might be my receiver.

In addition, went in and changed manually the LFE setting on my receiver and regardless of content (Dolby Digital; Dolby TRU HD, etc.) still nothing. Any other thoughts? \

Thxs again!!

BTW... MY 7700 arrives tomorrow; have to wait until WEdnesday to set it up though... out of town until then.

How is your bass management set up? If you have the mains set to large or to a particularly low crossover point, it may take some healthy activity in the LFE track to really kick the sub on.

Hi Gonk,

well my mains were set at 80hz; cause of the cone diameter sixe of my rti10's... In the Onkyo there are no small/large options... they recommend u set the C/O by the cone diameter size of your mains.

80Hz is a good crossover point. I'd try lower the volume on the sub (maybe closer to 10 o'clock) and adjusting the channel setting in the receiver.
