Anybody not yet owning a 7 ch amp and planning on buying the 997 would find this a great deal. Get the 970 for $99, and if you buy one of the bigger amps even get free shipping. Then when the 997 comes out you've paid $99 to get $200 off the price, meaning $101 off the price. Even more if you then turn around and sell the 970, which if you didn't even open the box would probably net you at least $300. That would mean getting $401 off the price of the 997 (minus cost to sell the 970).

Which means, there will soon be a glut of like new 970's for sale when the 997 is available.
