I currently have a fairly humble HT system, consisting of a Denon 1800 DD/DTS receiver, and Klipsch Reference series speakers at all corners, including a KSW-15 subwoofer. Anyway, I am now coming to the conclusion that my Denon is the weakest link, *goodbye*(sorry, I couldn't resist) Anyway, my heart is really set on going with seperate components, unfortunately I am still a fairly young guy, whose checkbook wont quite cooperate yet. The most logical thing to do right now is to purchase the 1050, which would leave the option to upgrade with a seperate 5 channel amp down the road. Now, I know that not many DVD's right now are encoded in DTS ES 6.1, so right now the 950/770 combo doesn't seem justifiable. Just wondering, will I regret purchasing the 1050 in a year or so? More importantly, how much of a jump in sound quality/imaging will I see if I upgrade my Denon 1800 to the Model 1050?
Thanks,
Harpua
