I am now using a DVI -> HDMI cable from 1070 to my Pioneer KURO PDP-6020. Video 1 has a Sony DVD/VCR player recorder (probably 420p at best)-- component cable going to the 1070 Video 1 in, audio Optical 2. While I get audio, the screen is blank.

------let me add, I have all kinds of cables, adapters etc to choose from.

My goal is not to have to change inputs on the Pioneer and have everything switch through the 1070. Is this possible?

I have the following I'd like to run through the 1070:

Samsung upconverting DVD (HDMI 1080i)
Scientific Atlanta 8850 cable (HDMI 1080i/720p etc)
Sony DVD/VCR recorder player (no HDMI -component S and composite)


Any ideas as to the best way to set this up without switching inputs on the plasma?
