Thanks for the info.
Here's the latest update....

I filed a claim with FedEx using their online clames form.
I then called and spoke to a lady in the claims dept.
She took my info down and said that I needed to box them back up, that a driver will pick them up tomorrow.
The speakers get sent to a local person in Claims to open the box and inspect the damage.
FedEX then re-boxes the speakers up and sends them back to the origional sender.
At that point the Sender has to call the Claims Dept and find out how much they are going to cover.
In eitehr case, the shipper said if fedex doesn't pay the claim, he will refund the money back to me and he will continue to fight with Fedex.

He bough the speakers in March, and it came from England...to the dealer....then UPS to his home.
No damage at all.

He decided to sell them to get some Martin Logans instead. The pictures of the speakers taken in May for the eBay auction show that they are not damaged.

Even though the eBay auction was for $2700, they were insured for the (new) replacement cost of $4000.

Latest news...
I got the PayPal refund from the seller, but he is now having to fight with FedEX to get the claim resolved.
The 804S is such a nice speaker, and it's a shame that FedEX damaged them.
I'll end up having to buy them new, since I'm not going to risk it again.

Just to update everyone.
The upgrade to the B&W 804S and HTM4S are not going to work out.
Kitchen remodeling went over-budget, and taking 2 Disney Cruises (next week and in May), so my funds are smaller than they were a few months back.

However, the new 600-series did come out over the summer.
I'm now planing on replacing my 10-year-old 603 with the new 683, and the CC6S2 center with the HTM61.

Total cost for the 3 speakers is $2000, as to the 804S/HTM4S costing $5400 (MSRP).

I'm going to the dealer to listen to the 683 some this week, but they should sound better than what I have, since they have the Natulius tweeter and FST midranger.

I did replace my MIT T2 BiWire cables this summer with MIT Shotgun MH750 BiWire. That alone made a noticable improvement in the sound quality when used with my 603 speakers.

I'm looking at buying the B&W 804S and HTM3S before the end of the month.
There is a price increase for them new, but some dealers are selling floor-models at lower prices.

Anyway, I plan on using my Outlaw 7125 amp for a while, but all the dealers have told me I should look at a 200W amp.

Since the living room doesn't have a back wall for two rear-surround speakers, I have only been using 5 out of 7 ch on the 7125.

I am wondering once I get the 3 front speakers, If I would notice a difference going from the 7125 to the 7500, or to the Rotel RMB-1095.
Is there any difference between the 7500 and RMM-1095?

I'm using the B&W 804S and HTM3 with my 7125 and it works GREAT! It has plenty of power for my setup, 20x15 opening to a kitchen.

I've had them about 2 weeks and LOVE them. PM for details on pricing and setup if you're interested.

My B&W 804S and HTM3S speakers are on order and should be here by mid-March.
I called Outlaw and talked to Scott a few days ago.
He feels that the 7125 would provide more than enough power for the new speakers and that
I should only look at going to the 7500 for the fully-balanced design and using XLR inputs to help improve sound quality.

Well, there has been some delay with the B&W speakers. The rosenut color was out and was waiting for a shipment from the UK.

Anyway, I've had a few people tell me that I should try out the Paradigm S6 (v2) and C5 center. That for the same price as the B&W 804S/HTM3s, the Paradigm produce better sound quality.

I haven't tried the Paradigms yet, but hope to later this week.

Anyway, now with the Amp Sale going on, I'm thinking even more about replacing my 7125 with a 7500 and my MIT RCA cables to MIT XLR.

I'm certainly very fond of my Paradigms, enough so that thoughts of trying out Outlaw's BLS have kept going onto the back burner (wife would really prefer bookshelves to towers), and the S6 is from the Signature line - a nice step up from my older Studios. There will be sonic differences between a B&W and a Paradigm. Personally, the B&W sound has not been a great fit for my tastes while the Paradigm sound has, so I'd probably end up going with the S6's if I were in your shoes. On the other hand, you have a familiarity with and fondness for the B&W sound (as does my father-in-law, who has also used KEF and Spendor in his two-channel system), so you may still prefer the B&W to the Paradigm. Certainly, if you can give the Paradigm's a listen, check 'em out.
