Thanks for the info.
Here's the latest update....
I filed a claim with FedEx using their online clames form.
I then called and spoke to a lady in the claims dept.
She took my info down and said that I needed to box them back up, that a driver will pick them up tomorrow.
The speakers get sent to a local person in Claims to open the box and inspect the damage.
FedEX then re-boxes the speakers up and sends them back to the origional sender.
At that point the Sender has to call the Claims Dept and find out how much they are going to cover.
In eitehr case, the shipper said if fedex doesn't pay the claim, he will refund the money back to me and he will continue to fight with Fedex.
He bough the speakers in March, and it came from England...to the dealer....then UPS to his home.
No damage at all.
He decided to sell them to get some Martin Logans instead. The pictures of the speakers taken in May for the eBay auction show that they are not damaged.
Even though the eBay auction was for $2700, they were insured for the (new) replacement cost of $4000.
