I was a little disappointed in the difference between the new DTS HD and the performance of the standard 990 DTS. Sure it was better but not to the extent I was expecting. I’m using 5.1 not 7.1. I read Secrets Review and the reviewer had similar results. Never caught on with SACD but read it was a much larger difference. I tried GONK'S minus 3 plus 6 on the sub. I found the outputs almost the same only needed 1.5 boosts in base. I would give it about a 25% improvement factor.
