There are a fair number of DVD players around with 5.1 outputs, but a lot of them only decode Dolby Digital internally -- so you still wouldn't be able to get DTS 6.1. The Panasonic RP-91 will decode DTS internally, but it's the only Panasonic player I'm aware of that will. I glanced at Toshiba's site and couldn't find any players that decode DTS internally. Similar results from Pioneer's site, and I couldn't even find one in Sony's current line-up that clearly said it had internal DTS decoding (the DVP-NS700P may, but it's not clear). Basically, internal DTS decoding is rare, although it is a standard feature for players to be able to pass a DTS signal to the digital output. Most people are turning to the receiver or pre/pro to get DTS-ES capability.
