I was considering the RP56 because I just got a 65" RPTV and the Sony is not progressive scan but I didn't realize it didn't have the 5.1 outs. So it probably doesn't decode DD or DTS. I guess you can't have everything for $230. I've heard a lot of good things about the RP56. Best bang for the buck.
