Mine behaved a bit strangely after the firmware update as well. I believe I got it back to normal by doing a hard reset.

Also, is this a new firmware update? I recall updating mine quite a long time ago, but maybe I'm just going senile.

Edit: Just checked...mine is at v3.11 so I guess this is the 2nd update.
