I had set the sound track to DTS ES and am using an optical cable with my Sony DVP-S570D although I do have pcm cables hooked up also in case I wanted to do 6.1 with the DTS ES signal which is already decoded from the Sony. In this case, I just want to do DTS. From what I understand, the 1050 should recognize the signal as regular DTS since it can't decode DTS ES. Am I doing something wrong?
Im not sure if I'm getting a DTS signal or regular DD. Any ideas out there?
The "Pro-Logic" part befuddles me -- that indicates that it's not even using the digital input, because if it were the 1050 wouldn't be trying to use Pro-Logic.
By "PCM" do you mean the two-channel analog output from the DVD player, or the 5.1 analog? And have you double-checked to make sure the 1050 is using the optical digital input for the DVD input?
