When finally firing up the 990 last night and performing auto setup, the 990 displayed the "Due to small front speaker and large surround speaker after turning power off, interchange front & surround speaker and then retry."
I checked the forum and quickly knew to set the crossovers to 80 Hz from the default 100Hz.
Auto setup then went though its paces again & I saved the configuration. I have a couple of questions regarding the speakers & what I am seeing on the different 990 menu screens as follows:
The LCR manual recommends an 80 HZ crossover, so I'm keeping the crossover at 80.
I have Axiom QS8 surround speakers. I didn't find a recommended crossover for these speakers, but found the following spec information: Freq Resp +/-3db (Hz): 95 - 22 kHz
Freq Resp +3dB- 9dB (Hz): 65 - 22 kHz
Does this mean I need to set the QS8's crossover back to 100Kz (or 95 if possible)?
The results of the Auto Setup showed the distance to speakers at the right distances, except for the subwoofer, which was shown another 8 ft. further back than it was actually placed. I think Gonk mentioned that this would occur & not to worry about it, so I'm leaving this as is.
The Channel Calibration screen is what I'm not sure about. I was expecting the auto setup to fill in some db values on this screen. The following was seen:
Front left: 0 db
Center: --- db
Front Right: 0 db
Surround right: --- db
Back right: --- db (no speaker actually at this position)
Back left: --- db (no speaker actually at this position)
Surround left: --- db
Subwoofer: 0 db
Is the above indicating that the auto setup didn't complete what it was doing?
Questions regarding the Surround Configuration screen. What do the below values do, or, what should they be set to:
Center width: step 0
Dimension: 0
HP Mode: DH1
2 ch. sub offset: 0 db
Thanks for the help!
