OK, I'm interested.
I have a Rotel RB-1080 set up to drive my Klipsch RF-7 mains in an HT system along side a Yamaha RX-V2600 for center/surround/processor. The 1080 works superbly with the RF-7. So, next, I go all separate...seen a good buy on the 5 channel RMB-1095 (200wpc). Ditch the Yammi, trade in the 2 channel 1080....Buy a processor which brings me to this board: the Outlaw 990. The questions for any users who have been down this road:
1) Outlaw 990 with the Rotel amps vs. Rotels own RSP-1068. Features on Outlaw look like a winner but how about sound? I love the two channel by-pass for straight stereo but need to stay in an HT system.
..So will I be rewarded by the Outlaw 990 instead of the Rotel processor?
2) incidental question: how much weight do you guys give to 7 channel HT? I've been inclined to stay with 5. My question is to sell the 2 channel amp I already have or keep it alongside a new 5 channel amp to go up to 7. I'm really on the fence here...there doesn't really seem to be enough "content" to justify this...why own hi-fi equipement to hear the equivalent of bus and car crashes?

Bottom line: I'm music oriented and the next purchase has to be the best music deal I can get:
Outlaw 990 or Rotel 1068 processor.

Thanks for your opinion...(I know it's been discussed before but previous threads are a little "dated" now.

Roger
