the sleep timer seems to be a good idea. I now have the system lock enabled(with the sleep timer off of course) and in theory should stop the sleep mode from being accidentaly activated. I don't have any neighbours close enough to have any problems like that. the 990 is not plugged into a conditioner.
it doesnt happen often so I'll have to keep you guys updated as to if it happens or not.
