Do you mean the firmware update? There were some improvements made to the way Pro Logic II/IIx works that could be worth having, plus a couple other nice adjustments (editable names for audio inputs as well as video) - my firmware notes cover the changes. I'd recommend it. If you're nervous about the update and want to keep it as simple as possible, using a serial cable will streamline the process. Outlaw has some very detailed instructions that will walk you through the update.
