Outlaw's good about providing useful manuals, but video switching's one of those things that messes with people's minds - you are far from the first to get tripped up by that. Kudos to Scott for the save on that one.

The 971's a great player, but it's best video tricks are reserved for its DVI output. A good husband would track down a new HDTV (complete with the new-standard DVI/HDMI input) and turn the 971 loose.
