I haven't as yet been able to fully make that transistion as I have the Menu, Exit and Info buttons programed to the same functions that are on the MX500. Don't get me wrong, I still like the MX800 and I agree with Jed, that having the action buttons around the thumb pad is a good idea. I just don't consider the Menu, Edit and Info buttons to be universial action buttons. Maybe I am missing something? Is there a way to use the current buttons to skip chapters on a DVD or PDR? I mean the most common use today is to press the chapter skip button 6 times to get through all of the previews on your typical DVD. With the stock setup I have to journey up to the LED screen to do this common function.

I've got the chapter skip buttons on my MX-700 programmed to the channel up/down buttons. The actual chapter skips are on the LCD buttons, but I just put a shortcut to them on my channel buttons.

Then there is the play button, yes it might be a little easier to get to but how offten do you find yourself watching channel 2 accidentally?
