The only way to currently defeat the digital bass management on the 7.1 input is to set the speakers to "LARGE", although several people have asked for a separate setting for this. Short of a firmware update adding that ability, the only way I know of to do what you are talking about is to create a remote macro to change the speaker settings when listening to the 3910's analog output.
