i did the auto calibration twice and i know they are a few short bursts but they are extending it pretty good.both times i ran the auto cal. the LMF1 came up twice the distance it was from the listening position..could it be out of phase?could it just need to be moved to a different position?maybe it just needs to be raised off of the carpet a little.

i just entered the correct distance and it blends well with the rest of the speakers.i am just currious what opinions are on the test tone damaging the sub befor i continue to auto calibrate.

when i first ran auto cal thought the very loud was a precaution .. they arent kidding .. the 2 bursts on the normal channels are potent .. but as you said the 3 or 4 bottom burts on the sub made me think it was ( bottoming the VC..) but once it dialed in it sounds great in actually movie .. but yes scared me at first.. thought it would blow sub .. make sure if $$ sub it has BASH technology ..

yes, make sure the volume (gain) on the sub's amp is set no more than 1/4 of the way. Holy cow, mine was set at 1 o'clock and I thought it was going to destroy itself. No damage though. It nailed the distance to my sub just fine (SVS PB-12 Ultra)

i did have the trim set at 7(2 o'clock) when it over extended.i did turn it down to 4 and auto calibrate but it came up double the distance also.i do have the subs crossover set at 80 when i do it.i will try setting the crossover a bit higher when auto calibrating then i will try moving it or putting a board under it.
