From what you describe, I'd be surprised if the remote is at fault, but it certainly can't be ruled out. I suppose that if the batteries were getting low, then the signal might be weak enough to work with only some components, so maybe a change of batteries will help. One option that might also be worth trying is resetting the 1050 (resetting involves unplugging the unit for approximately 24 hours). Another thought is to toss a question Outlaw's way through their support site .
