If the speakers are set full range, soundhound is correct that the crossover points for those speakers are not used (as I understand it, at least) -- that basically disables the bass management and sends the LFE channel only to the sub.

You might also see how your system sounds with the speakers all set to small and the crossovers at 40Hz, just to compare it to setting everything to large.
