Was the S&V article talking about duplicating the main channel signals for those ambiance speakers, or was it talking about some digital signal processing (such as the effects channels that Yamaha sometimes offers on their higher-end receivers)? If it is talking about duplicating the left and right channel signals, all that you need is a splitter to send the signal from your pre/pro or receiver to two channels on the 7100. How many channels of the 7100 are you using? If you are currently using only a five-channel system, you have two extra channels that can readily be used for this purpose.
