Welcome to the forum, vikings22. You do not have to use all five channels of your Adcom. Using fewer channels will not provide you any more power on the channels that are driven. The idea of getting a set of four monoblocks for the surrounds will work fine. Another option would be to get two or three M200's for the front soundstage (mains or mains and center) and let the multichannel amp handle the surrounds.
FIRST OF ALL, THANK YOU ALL FOR QUICK REPLIES,AND HELPFUL.I THINK I WILL START WITH TWO M-BLOCKS FOR MY MAINS,WHILE USING MY ADCOM FOR SURROUNDS AND CENTER-[FOR NOW].IS IT POSSIBLE TO HOOK THESE AMPS TO A SUBWOOFER THAT ALREADY HAS A BUILT-IN AMP?IT IS A VELODYNE CT-150 AT 250 WATTS. OR WOULD THIS JUST BE OVERKILL?
