I guess I am rather impulsive but in this particular instance I am feeling pretty good about it. My decision to get the 1050 was pretty quick (less than a week). It arrived today.

I hooked up my new 1050 and played a couple of CDs via ANALOG connection from my DVD player.
(don't have my opticals yet.)
My trusty old ADVENT LoudSpeakers have NEVER sounded this good!

I am still struggling with the setting for them but am leaning towards the large setting. When set on small I guess I do hear more mid but the base is not like I am used to ...

I don't have specs for these speakers so I don't know the -3db setting for bass... I am basing this on listening tests of the same piece.

Wish I had the budget for the 950/750 combo. That would be ideal for me. Maybe next year.

Until now. I am happy with what I am hearing!
