I'm excited about the new product and would like to give it a try head to head with my early 1960's amps...specifically a Scott integrated tube amp.

RETRO and ELECTRONICS are absolutely way COOL!

I have a Dynaco ST-70 updated and a Scott 222c and I'm shopping for more Scott gear. My early 1960's Scott 222c is dramatically better sounding than any $1k modern AV receiver and has real style unlike the bland black faces of much of today's consumer electronics....if not black then Xmas tree looking with lights and gizmos.

I agree that the expensive new stuff, however, tends to have a variety of looks ranging from retro to very elegant.

Looks are subjective so some will hate it while others will love it. But please don't think that vintage gear can't sound fantastic (although it almost always needs updating of caps, tubes, etc. which don't last forever). As stated in the newsletter the same circuit designs of the past are still popular today. What's new are connections to PCs and optimization for subs.

I'm a little concerned about not having a tube pre-amp but I'll ignore technology and just let me ears decide. I look forward to seeing how the new OUTLAW competes with my vintage amps. A restored Scott 299b is about the same price as the Outlaw after restoration.

Does it have a HT passthrough for connection to a 950? How can one use both the 950/770 and this 2-channel amp with the same speakers? Connect the 950 to the video input of the 2-channel box?
