I don't have a 770 (my 750 is different from the later multichannel amps), so I can't speak from personal experience. What you describe matches Smart Little Lena's experience, and she spent a bunch of time with Outlaw gear back when she was a regular here (when we last heard from her around here she had two separate systems based around a Model 950).
