The trick here is to turn up the volume so that the test tone from the mains is around 75dB (C-weighted, slow). There's no level adjustment for the mains. Once you've got the volume there (maybe around 65 or so on the 1050's volume control, but that's just a ballpark guess), use the test tones to measure the center and surrounds. Use the trim controls for center, surround, and sub to adjust those up or down to hit the 75dB or close to it. The sub will probably have to be done by ear, or you can refer to
this page at SVS for some idea of the meter's error at low frequencies.
