If it is mid-movie on a new DVD player, do you know if the player is interrupting the signal at layer changes? Are either of the new units sitting directly on top of the 950 (potentially creating a heat problem)?
Hi, Gonk. No, it is not interrupting the signal at the layer changes. I really do think it is a setup as opposed ot a hardware problem in the 950. I have, as mentioned above, a digital switch box in the loop which I was using when my first multi-format player was in the shop. I now have a new one, and when time permits I will pull the switchbox out of the loop. It is auto-sensing and I have a feeling that it is associated with the problem.
Will report back when solved. Thanks for the input!
