My old faithful Nakamichi CD player quit this week and I'm in fairly desparate need of a replacement since repair is too costly. Anybody got any recommendations? Tweeters showed me a new Sony changer that's a CD/DVD combo with progressive scan priced at $249. Would that do a good job of reproducing music for my 1050? HELP!

Dave,

After I received my 950, I moved my 1050 upstairs to be the heard of a music system. I bought a Sony SCD-CE775 for $169. It's a 5 disc changer and plays both SACD and CD. Seemed like a good idea at the time. And so far, I rather enjoy it.

Thanks. I'll probably give the Sony a try.
