I think the "S" denotes a "silver" finish, which looks to be the only finish available. The rear panel photo on Crutchfield shows the model number as "DV-563A-S" while the front just reads "DV-563A". Panasonic often does something similar when offering products in both black ("k") and silver ("s") finish.
