I'm looking to replace my current amp/preamp with an Outlaw 990/7200. I'm wondering if anyone has tried driving Thiel speakers with an Outlaw amplifier. Would a 7200 have any issues driving a whole Thiel 7.1 system (4ohms nominal for each speaker, the mains would dip lower, but supposedly a minimum of 3ohms).

I'm building a HT room, and will have a dedicated 20amp circuit that could be set aside just for the amp (and another dedicated circuit for the rest of the gear).

I'd guess that when stereo listening, I'd have the benefit of additional overhead, as I'd only be using 2 of the 7 channels. I'm assuming it has two Toroidal transformers under the hood.

Thanks in advance for any input/comments.

I don't recall if we've had many Thiel owners around here or not, but the 7200 would have no problem with nominal 4 ohm loads. The 7200 does have a pair of toroidal transformers inside.
