This is very frustrating –

With the vague and unclear section in the RR2160 manual and my incomplete understanding on how the the RR2160 connects to my DLNA servers I now understand I have to use a software to stream audio to the 2160 via the DMR interface on the 2160.

I was told that foobar2000 could be used. I am not sure at this point but I think I got foobar2000 to work, but the issue now is it stopped working

Foobar2000 also requires the “foo_upnp.fb2k-component” so audio can be streamed to the 2160. Once the playlist is set up, I trigger the play button, all I see on (the second line) the 2160 is the word “loading” – after a minute or two it goes way with no audio on the 2160.

I am not sure if I altered the sequence on how to "play to" the 2160. I tried to get answers from google searches or foobar2000's forums but no replies.

My laptop and desktop are both running win10/1903/64b – tried using my laptop. I installed the same version of foobar2000 on the laptop and foo_upnp.fb2k-component. I as able to get it to work using the laptop!

Since foobar2000 is compatible with older version of windows I install the same version on a win/vista and win/xp systems, both running as (vm) guests (using vmware player) on the desktop (were it does not work) and both os’es, vista and xp, play and stream the audio to the 2160.

Any pointers or insights on how to get this to work with just the desktop would be appreciated.
