The 975 came out in 2012. That's over four years ago. About 18 quarters ago. So, if by "close at hand", you mean "within 10% of the time since the last release", yes, I'd bet it's close at hand.

I'm anticipating it, and have postponed a purchase for this purpose. But it's a long time to actually literally hold your breath. How close is "close at hand" for you? If you knew your life would cease in four months, would that feel "close at hand"?
