EDIT: AHHH! I think I found the section in the manual were it says you can override the auto selection process and hard set the input on the desired format. (surround data format lock, or stereo in my case...) always helps to RTM

I have a Sony CDP-CX355 connected to my 950 via optical 1 and I am using the "CD" input for it. when a new track starts playing sometimes the beginning of the track is cut off for like 1/2 a second because the input seems to renegotiate the data connection to learn it's PCM between tracks - but only sometimes... it's weird.. I had this CD player on several other devices and this didn't happen... I am wondering if the 950's optical input is just very sensitive or something? Is there some kind of way I can force it to STEREO only without using analog mode?
