The saloon doesn't offer any picture hosting capacity, so if you want to post a picture you need to already have that picture accessible somewhere else on the web. Videodrome is using shutterfly.com for that, while I happen to have my own domain (prillaman.net) that I use for both e-mails and for my web site. This is really the only tricky part of the process, which is why I've offered my site as a storage space for others in the saloon who want to post pictures such as shots from HE shows or dismantled amplifiers (see the pictures link in my sig). Once you have the picture on line so that you can call it up in a web browser, all you need to do is copy the URL to the clipboard and stick a little UBB code in your post.

To create a link, the directions above should get you on track. The example is a link to a web page (in this case, the page of samples from dad's art show):

[ url=http://www.prillaman.net/prillaman_master_show/ ]some art[ /url ]

That creates some art .

A second example would be my "gonk" avatar from my profile, which is a JPG file sitting on my web site. Take the line below, replace the link with the link you copied from the address bar of your browser when viewing your image, and remove the spaces inside the brackets and you'll get your picture in the post.

Take out the spaces and you end up with:
