The LCR's are certainly good candidates for front speakers. The two reasons I went with the BLS's were size (trying to reduce the physical presence of speakers in the den, plus the smaller size makes for more stability on a stand when cats and a young child are running around) and the -3dB point (BLS's are ported, so they go a bit lower than the sealed LCR's).
