What do you mean by "having two inputs going into the same channel of an amplifier could be bad" - I just received the 7700 today and unfortunately, I couldn't connect it but will tomorrow as I didn't want to get a hernia. My 10 year old and 5 year old combined weigh the same as the 7700. I absolutely love the front speakers and I believe I should receive the center/surrounds/subwoofer tomorrow. If I have to be in the office, I might as well enjoy it. I listen to the system at reference volume before 9:00 and after 5:00.
