the quanset workshop has no leaks and has end-walls. The yellow roll around cabinets are further protection. When in use I have a exhaust fan in the cabinet plus a small fan to blow air into it. Never even get close to over heating. If it did I would see a Red light on the NAD's.
Not sure what Cheyenne Mountain is. I am in Southeast Texas.
And about the blown speakers. It turned out to be a bad optical audio cable. When I got the Sony(ES) SACD palyer, the PO tossed in a Monster Optical audio cable so I started using it. Last night I put the cheap Dynex one back on and it sounds like it used to again. Awesome. Now I am looking at all the various types and sizes of optical audio cables. .5mm to 2mm and some are enev bigger. single strand or multi strand. Which is best and can too big of a cable dilute the optical signal? I know Monster is crap.
I am pleased with the Sony SACD player. It actually the only sony product I have that i do not dislike. The ES line must be the difference.
