The SMS-1 may not be in Harmony's database, but there should be no problem learning commands from the SMS-1's remote to the Harmony (my MX-700 learned them fine, and the Harmony remotes can learn commands from the Outlaw remotes - which are the same basic remote as the SMS-1, since both are based on the Catalyst48).
