As garcianc2003 says, Outlaw's guide is a very good place to start. Here\'s the link. I'd recommend hooking everything up and then setting up the 990 first, focusing mainly on getting channel trim dialed in for the Sonus Fabers. Once those levels are taken care of and you have the sub roughly in line, you can move on to the SMS-1 and getting it set up. You'll start that process by fine-tuning the sub volume using the microphone and on-screen display (makes it really easy to get sub trim right, and it doesn't much matter whether you adjust volume at the 990, the SMS-1, or the LFM-1 EX). The Outlaw SMS-1 guide can get you up to speed on all the capabilities offered by the SMS-1 once that's done.
