Interesting about the LFM1 design, which I am anxious to understand in the LFM2.

I have been building subs, speakers for some time and I have never seen someone put the driver so close to the ground given its volume. On carpet it has less than 1" clearance. This of course would drive the SPL into the foundation, therefore creating an illusion of more power. If it was on a hardwood floor I surprised it doesn't bounce! This also makes for cool effects in some movies.. I have already noticed that about the LFM1B I purchased, which I am still breaking in.

In the case of the LFM2's 8" driver to achieve the same thing its clearance would have to be quite close to the floor, hence my question earlier about the LFM2 clearance...
