What sort of speakers are you driving? Will it be a 4 ohm load? If so, the Aragon certainly will give more power (of course, that also assumes that you need 300W or more per channel). But is the 8008 a 5-channel amp? The info I can find on it indicates that it's a 2-channel amp (with an MSRP of almost $3000 and a "real" price of almost double the 755's price). it's probably a better amp for difficult-to-drive speakers (electrostatics, what-not), but unless I'm getting bad info it's not really an apples-to-apples comparison, either.

OK, I am seeing some stuff in my Google search of an 8008x3, so apparently I was getting bad info and just can't find anything on the 8008x5. (Solved that -- try a better search input and get stuff like this: AudioReview , Audioholics .) I'd still suspect that the Aragon would probably be a better speaker for difficult loads -- but it will certainly cost more.
