I don't know the specifics of Garrett's case, but I can offer a little information. When I bought my Paradigms a few years back, the sales guy mentioned the factory replacing a blown driver under warranty (it was part of a statement about trying not to overdrive the speakers and blow the drivers repeatedly and still expect repeated warranty replacements). You might check with your local Paradigm dealer if you haven't already - they should be able to help you out.
