Actually, I share your sentiment - when they do an HDMI v1.3 processor, it needs to be done right but it doesn't necessarily need to be the first one done. At this point, though, I wouldn't develop a next generation processor without v1.3 just because of the demands of the marketplace. In the meanwhile, the 990's still a strong product.
