Any chance there was a lightning storm on your area when the damage occurred.

No weather events at the time.

xbox is on ethernet rather than wifi, not that that should make a difference) but I detect no extra gain from that source versus the tuner (i have no other sources connected now). In fact the tuner is a bit louder than the 'video' input the xbox is using.

Does the xbox have any type of output gain control? If the RR2150 plays louder using its tuner then the lower volume when running the xbox could be due to a gain issue. Possibly impedance matching as well. My thought is the RR2150 will not output its full rated power if the input is less than the design is looking for. Try connecting the xbox through the cd in on the receiver and see if that makes a difference. I do not know about the xbox but using my BDP-103 connected via the analog outputs the OPPO volume control will have an effect.

I would not be worried about the receiver. Had there been a major failure of the RR2150 it would have made itself known in a big way.

As long as we are methodical in the approach I am sure we will figure this out.

Look in the couch cushions! I bet you have several in there if you're losing them all the time. smile

I picked up a used Harmony 650 on eBay for $23.00 delivered. You don't need to spend $300.00. Just determine which one you actually want/need and then check the used marketplace. You'd be surprised what you can find!

Those darn couches. I lost one controller and eventually found it in that gap between the two layers of fabric where the springs live. I have no idea how it got there because I couldn't find any holes and it took me a few days to figure out how to get it out without causing irreparable damage to the couch.

I just figured she hid your remote as some form of draconian punishment.
