I purchased the RR2150 10 years ago and fell in love with the sound immediately. Years later I thought I would change up away from 2.1 to 5.1 or more and thus purchased an AV Marantz. The sound is so much different than the RR2150, very soft. Moving forward, I want to go back to 2.1 by purchasing the new RR2160 and saying goodbye to surround sound of 5.1 or greater. My question is how do I connect my 2-year-old Samsung smart TV to the RR2160? I assume all my HDMI devices need to hook up to the TV and then the TV is connected to the RR2160. What approach do you take on this endeavor? Thanks

If your TV has a digital audio output (either coax or optical) connect it to the inputs to the 2160 and let it decipher the audio into 2.1.
