I just upgraded my Roku 4 (working fine) with a Roku Ultra. The Ultra is having problems syncing(?) when connected thru the 975. About every 10 seconds, the screen goes black, flashes, and then the picture comes back. I've tried 3 different cables, different options in the 975, different port on the 975, different resolutions on the Ultra, but the problem persists.

The Ultra works fine when connected directly to the TV.

Support has suggested that I power down all devices, unplug all cables, wait 5 minutes, and re-connect/re-power everything. I will try this asap, but wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing anything similar.

Swap in new 18Gbps HDMI cables all around.
The Roku may be looking for an HDCP-2.2 device which obviously its not going to find. But make sure the Roku is set to output 1080p.

It sounds like someone has already suggested an HDMI reset procedure above. Assuming the Roku is set to output 1080P, I would start with the HDMI reset procedure.

Make sure the 975 input is set to Native resolution in the "Video Output Setup" page of the menu. Trying to scale the video of an HD source will cause a conflict.

I ordered all new 18Gbps HDMI cables from Amazon with the same results. In Settings, the Roku shows it is connecting at 1080p HDCP 1.4.

I tried the HDMI reset procedure and it worked!...temporarily. The picture was stable in the Roku menu and in Plex menu, but as soon as I played a movie in Plex, it started with the continuous re-syncs again (after exiting the movie) frown

Yes, the 975 is set to Native and 1080p.

I have it running fine on HDMI2 on my TV, with the TV audio output going into OPT1 on the 975. It makes the remote switching a little more complex (fully macroed), but it works. I would prefer to have everything running through the 975 to HDMI1 on the TV.

I'm convinced it's an HDCP issue. I might grab one of those HDMI splitters that strips the HDCP signal and see if that fixes the problem.

If anyone else has any suggestions I would love to hear them!
