I'm thinking about adding a 7500 to my system (or 2-3 M2200's) once Outlaw comes out with their new pre/pro. I have a B&K Ref. 200.7 that is great but gets HOT. I'm thinking of getting the 7500 and using it for my 5 main channels, and running the 4 height channels off the B&K. My question is: how cool does it run for most of you? My speakers are PSB Synchrony's, which are fairly efficient but do drop down to 4 ohms at certain frequencies. Thanks for any responses!

The 7500 will handle anything you throw at it. I run my Maggies with it and they start at 4 ohms.

Thanks XenonMan. I have no doubt the 7500 would handle my PSB's - I'm just wondering if it'll run any cooler than my B&K, which in the summer makes my room like a sauna!

Mine runs very cool even at high volumes. Recognize that since most amps use heat sinks for cooling they need to get warm to transfer that heat. Try using a small quiet fan to blow air to help cooling.

I have my 7500 in a standout designs cabinet with cooling fans. They rarely
go on, even to the point where I had to check to see if the "thermocoupler"
was working. Compare that to the other side of the unit which houses my
cable box and the fans are on most of the time. I'd say you have nothing to
worry about.
