I have noticed the HDMI plugs on my Model 975 do not hold as well as with my other gear. I have tried several different cables swapping ends to check both plugs on the cables to the same result.

Not scientific by any means but the OPPO and Dish receiver seem to take about the same felt pressure to seat or remove the plug. The M975 offers little resistance when inserting and the slightest touch will dislodge the cables.

I see HDMI cables with locking plugs but have never found them necessary. Has anyone else noticed what I think I am experiencing and if so how did you correct the problem?

My 975 doesn't have this problem. The HDMI cables fit in the same way as they do on everything else that uses them.

In that case it might be me. As soon as the stain is dry on my new cabinet I am in for all new HDMI cabling so will see if the new cables change anything.

Thanks for the reply
